Data Deletion Instructions

WaContacts respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to delete your account, what data is removed, and the expected timeline. These instructions also apply to any WhatsApp Business Account connection data processed through the WaContacts platform.
Option 1 — Delete Your Account from the Dashboard
If you have access to your WaContacts account, you can delete it directly:
- Log in at wacontacts.com/login.
- Open the top-right user menu and click Account Settings.
- Scroll to the Danger Zone section at the bottom of the page.
- Click Delete Account and confirm the action.
Your account and all associated data will be queued for permanent deletion within 30 days.
Option 2 — Request Deletion by Email
If you cannot access your account, send a deletion request to:
support@wacontacts.com — Subject: Account Data Deletion Request
Please include the following in your email:
- The email address registered with your WaContacts account.
- Your registered username (if known).
- A brief statement confirming you want all personal data permanently deleted.
We will process your request within 14 business days and send a confirmation email when deletion is complete.
What Gets Deleted
Upon account deletion, we permanently remove:
- Your WaContacts user account and profile information (name, email, phone number, username, state).
- Your WhatsApp Business Account connection — including the Phone Number ID, WABA ID and System User access token you connected to the platform. WaContacts will immediately stop making any API calls on your behalf.
- Your WhatsApp CRM data — inbox conversations, contact records, message templates, and broadcast history stored within the WaContacts platform.
- Your wallet balance and transaction history.
- Your Linkhub profile, bio-link pages, and any associated content.
- Any promotion listings you created on the platform.
- Analytics and behavioural data tied to your account.
What Is Not Deleted
- Messages on WhatsApp itself: WaContacts does not control WhatsApp message history stored on Meta's infrastructure or on your customers' devices. To remove those, contact Meta / WhatsApp directly.
- Payment transaction records that must be retained for legal, tax or audit obligations (typically 5–7 years depending on local law).
- Anonymised aggregate analytics that cannot be linked back to your identity after anonymisation.
WhatsApp Business Account — Disconnection Note
WaContacts is a Technology Provider. We do not own your WhatsApp Business Account. When you delete your WaContacts account:
- WaContacts immediately revokes its access to your WABA credentials and stops all API activity.
- Your WhatsApp Business Account itself remains active on Meta's platform — it is not deleted by WaContacts.
- If you wish to delete your WhatsApp Business Account entirely, do so through Meta Business Settings.
